Accountant Position
Job Summary
L.C. Eldridge Sales Co., Ltd has an opening for Accountant in Katy, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Setting-up new jobs and work orders in the accounting system.
- Performing credit checks on new customers.
- Sending order acknowledgments to customers.
- Creating purchase orders for vendors.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and periodic statements.
- Record and reconcile cash collected against customer invoices.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Reconcile commission payments from manufacturers.
- Record vendor invoices and reconcile to purchase orders.
- Post entries for internal and external wire transfers
- Process payment of vendor invoices
- Post month end journal entries
- Review WIP report for accuracy of job revenues and expenses
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Prepare period end financial statements and management reports.
- Other duties as required and assigned by management.
Requirements
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting or related field, and 12 months of accounting or related experience. Experience should include:
- 12 months experience in accounts payable
- 12 months experience in accounts receivable.
- 12 months experience in preparation of financial statements
- 12 months experience in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) accounting software systems.
