It is with mixed emotions and sincere gratitude for his 42 years of service that we are announcing the retirement of Gary T. Leseman from L.C Eldridge Sales Co., Inc. at the end of March.
Below is a letter we would like to share that was written by Mr. Leseman.
Dear Colleagues:
I am writing to let you all know that effective March 31, 2018, I will be retiring from the L. C. Eldridge Sales Co., Inc.
As many of you know, this company has been my life. Walter Leseman, my dad, went to work for Len Eldridge in 1952 and was with this company for 50 years. While this year marks my 42nd year of full time employment with Eldridge, I have been involved one way or another with Eldridge Sales for over 66 years. So at age 68 it is time for me to step aside.
It has been a wonderful experience to work with you all. The company has just come through three of the toughest years imaginable with the offshore drilling downturn; and, I am proud to have been a part of seeing the company through this period with the quality team of people still intact and the addition of several new key associates. To the Eldridge Staff, you all have performed splendidly.
I believe that the company is on the cusp of taking off. So this is a good time for the company to have some fresh leadership and ideas injected into it going forward. Joe Davis has been specifically groomed to take full control of this company. His positive influence is already at work and I believe the company will grow rapidly under his fine leadership. The company is fortunate to have a leader with the excellent character, technical expertise, and business knowledge as Joe Davis.
I encourage each of you to give Joe your fullest support and effort to help the company continue to be successful. It takes a concerted team effort to do what we do. I would put this Eldridge team up against all others. I am very proud of what you all have accomplished and will continue to achieve.
It has been my sincere pleasure to have been associated with this company and with all of the people who have helped make this a great company and a great place to work.
The best days for Eldridge are ahead.
