Heat Transfer & Water Cooling Coils

There is a wide range of industrial coils available for industrial ventilation systems. For cooling, heat transfer coils help cool the air by transferring heat to liquids inside the coils, whether water or a water-glycol mix.

Chilled water and hot water coils both use water to either add or remove heat from air inside your facility. Hot water coils take hot water from your boiler system to help heat the air for comfortable environments.

Water-filled heating and cooling coils maintain pressure when pumped vertically, whereas refrigerants tend to lose pressure with distance, making pumping difficult. However, water heating and cooling coils may provide less uniform temperatures compared to refrigerants and steam coils.

Steam heating coils use low-pressure steam to help with heating in your industrial or commercial facility. As we mentioned, steam coils help provide more uniform heat. It’s important to keep in mind, however, that industrial ventilation systems that use steam heating coils may require more energy to heat water high enough to produce steam.
