Last month, Offshore Magazine announced their Top 5 Projects for 2015 in a webinar. We were happy to find out that we contributed front end engineering to one of the projects featured—Anadarko’s Lucius and Heidelburg spar platforms.
The Lucius and Heidelburg spars were constructed as part of Anadarko’s “design one, built two” philosophy. The spars are the company’s most technologically advanced and the Lucius is already producing from multiples fields in the Gulf of Mexico. The Heidelbiurg recently achieved first oil in mid January—earlier than previous projections. Despite the fluctuations in oil prices, Anadarko has managed to remain successful with these spars through a joint-venture capital carry arrangement.
Eldridge worked with Wood Group Mustang on the center well ventilation system, which included a 100% standby system. For each system, we provided fans, mist eliminators, and silencers. We also worked with Technip to provide explosion proof components for the air conditioning system in the deckhouse.
