Eldridge is introducing SolAir, a new industrial solar powered fan. It is the first of its kind to combine the durability of an industrial grade fan with eco-friendly solar power. Initial Concept
We initially developed the concept of an industrial solar powered fan to reduce installation costs. It is not unusual for the electrical installation cost for an industrial fan to be more than the cost of the fan itself. That is because long wiring runs for a three phase, 460-volt fan is expensive and requires a trained electrician to do the installation. Add to that the cost of modifying the electrical panel to accommodate the additional power load, and you can see why the total electrical installation costs can be so high.

Product Specifications
SolAir is initially available in a 48 inch panel fan that provides 7,000 CFM at .25 inches of static pressure. The fan utilizes a lightweight GRP propeller to maximize the power from its 1/3 horsepower DC motor.
The complete SolAir fan package comes with a solar panel, a voltage regulator, and a motor speed controller. It also comes with two 12-volt batteries that when fully charged, will provide 9 hours of operation when the sun is not shining. We have packaged and pre-wired all these components into a lockable metal cabinet so there is no guesswork on how to configure and set them.
First Installation
Our first installation of the SolAir fan was at Beloved and Beyond Camp. They are a Christian camp that focuses on special needs kids. This wonderful camp accepts kids of all abilities and provides them with a real camp experience.
Located in Central Texas, the camp was having heat problems with their sports pavilion. SolAir was the perfect solution for this application because of the easy installation and zero utility costs. As proof of the easy installation, the camp staff installed the fans themselves.
