Outside Industrial Sales Representative
Job Summary
Outside Industrial Sales Representative working for an established Manufacturers’ Representative company responsible for application and sales of industrial ventilation and acoustic products. Territory openings are available in Houston and Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing customers by introducing new products and services
- Identify and develop new customer sales
- Follow up on inbound and factory leads and provide outcomes of contact
- Provide sales presentations on products and services
- Survey facilities and develop proposals for ventilation and noise control solutions
- Provide follow-up on proposals and initiate changes as required to close orders
- Provide weekly status and opportunity reports to management on proposals and territory
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of technical sales experience of industrial HVAC equipment, and/or Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution with sales emphasis or equivalent degree
- Ability to compose professional proposals in English
- Ability to understand and use price sheets to maximize profit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Willingness to travel overnight
- Strong moral character and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong communication, writing, math, time-management, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to develop personal sales forecast
- Proven history of reaching and/or exceeding sales quotas
- Intimate knowledge of the industrial ventilation and noise control industries
- Understanding of CRM systems for managing contacts
- Ability to read CAD drawings
